15th Annual Wine Opener

The intimate black tie affair kicks off the festival at the historic St. Anthony Hotel. The Opener features the gold medal winning wines from the San Antonio Wine Competition as well as outstanding foreign vintners guaranteed to stir one’s palate.

Upon entering the newly renovated ballroom, you will see rows of seemingly never-ending scrumptious cuisine, along with a forest of wine bottles waiting to be uncorked and served.

Entertainment will be provided by Henry Brun and the Latin Playerz. This popular Latin jazz ensemble plays a cavalcade of Latin styles, ranging from the slow tempo of a Cuban cha-cha, and the more upbeat mambo, to the conga and rumba, guaguanco, and merengue rhythms.

The intimate gathering also allows for groups and individuals to network and socialize.The common bond in this experience is enjoying the serene atmosphere and exquisite food and drink, and you never know who you’ll run into or meet. Old acquaintances are ready to be renewed and new relationships are ready to be built.
