29th Annual Fine Wine & Cuisine Tasting
Only the Alamodome is a large enough venue to accommodate the nearly 3,800 participants who will sample the hundreds of domestic and imported wines at the annual Fine Wine and Cuisine Tasting — the heart of the wine festival.
Connoisseurs also savor creations from San Antonio’s restaurants and caterers at this event, known as the “Granddaddy of All Wine Tastings.”
Upon entering the Alamodome, you will notice that the vast space of the dome itself is filled with booths and tables of restaurants and corkers ready to serve you. Be sure to bring an appetite as dozens of restaurants and caterers present their best creations. Whether you’re in the mood for Mexican, Italian, or a slice of Americana, there is enough to go around and satisfy every taste.
And what better way to complement the exquisite food than with vintages from around the world. With several countries represented, you can sample and choose wine from the region you enjoy the most. Or, experiment and try something new! You never know what your taste buds will discover at the Fine Wine and Cuisine Tasting.
Who knew that you didn’t have to leave San Antonio to drink wine by the Eiffel tower, or dine by the Leaning Tower of Pisa? These significant landmarks and more are all found within the confines of the Alamodome. By entering the Fine Wine and Cuisine Tasting, this literally becomes your passport to around the world. Several large decoration pieces mirror the images of some of the world’s most recognizable landmarks, allowing your mind to be whisked away to a foreign land. Sampling the cuisine and wine of each culture also helps with your fantastic one-night vacation.
And you won’t leave empty-handed as attendees of the Fine Wine and Cuisine Tasting will receive a commemorative glass highlighting this special event.
